Blayney Show

A must for all the family – the annual Blayney Show kicks off today at Blayney Showground today. There will be horse shows, an animal nursery, arts and craft exhibitions, heritage tractors and the U Beaut Ute display.

Rockley Pub Quick Shear

Promising to be “a shearing spectacular like no other”, the Rockley Pub Quick Shear competition kicks off at 2.00pm this afternoon at the rear of the iconic Rockley Hotel. The stakes are high with $5000 in prizes money up for grabs!

Entertainment will follow, with Pig Iron Bob taking to the stage at 6.30pm.

The Oberon Tablelands Way Farmers Markets

Oberon’s farmers markets also return to the grounds of the St Barnabas Church today, with fresh produce, gourmet delights and locally made arts and crafts on offer. There are also delicious bacon and egg rolls and hot coffee to sample while you stroll through the stalls.

Street Parade & Harvest in the Park for the International Festival of Understanding

Cowra will celebrate the International Festival of Understanding with a bright and colourful street parade this afternoon, follows by the Harvest in the Park markets.

This year the festival will celebrate South Korea, and will see stunning parade floats depart the Aquatic Centre Carpark at 2.30pm and travel along Brougham Street to Brougham Park for the markets, which will showcase some of the best produce in the region.

Bathurst Autofest

Car lovers can get their fix at the 4th annual Bathurst Autofest event at Mount Panorama this weekend.

A variety of entertainment is on offer with rides for the kids, merchandise and trade displays.

There are almost 400 entrants in this year’s event, which promises to be the biggest and best yet.

Rockley Rodeo 2015

Following from last weekend’s rodeo in Oberon, the action heads to Rockley today for the iconic Rockley Rodeo.

Rodeo Events include Open and Novice Bull Ride, Saddle Bronc & Bareback, Ladies Barrel Race and Juvenile Steer Ride.

The gates open at 7.00am, with proceeds going to the Supporting Cancer Patients Assistance Society.

It’s milestone year for the Millamolong Polo Club, which celebrates 25 years at this weekend’s iconic event.

Oberon Community Fun Run

Oberon Youth Council is holding a Community Fun Run, raising money for the Heart Foundation.
People of all ages are encouraged to join in, with two routes around The Oberon Township. There will be a 9.5km route and a 5km route, with both the routes finishing at The Common for the Live Well in Oberon Festival.
