What’s on in Bathurst – May 2015

Welcome to our monthly What’s On? where we’ll let you know the very best things to see and do in our community for you and your family in the Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon, Cowra and Molong region.

May (every Sat/Sun): Pop-up Cellar Door
Have you always wanted to get to a “Cellar Door” wine sampling but never had the time? Why not take advantage of the “Pop-up Cellar Door” held each Saturday and Sunday during May at the historic Crago Mill Emporium. Grab a group of family or friends and share a cheese and antipasto platter, while you sample the wares of many local wineries that don’t have their own cellar doors, including Grass Parot, Renzaglia, Vale Creek, Winooka Estate to name a few. From 11am~4pm at 21A Piper Street Bathurst.

May 23 (Sat): Back to Bathurst Public School
Join in on the bicentennial celebrations at Bathurst Public School on May 23rd and 24th. Saturday evening sees an amazing gala dinner to celebrate the school, community and it’s history. Sunday will be amazing with the vintage fair and open day. Come on down and get into all the great activities for the whole family, including face painting, food stalls, bungee run and mechanical bull ride. Check out the school’s facebook page for more info.

May 23: Bathurst Farmer’s Market
Held on the fourth Saturday of the month, this great community event is put on by the Bathurst Lions Club. While you wander around the stalls sampling some of the region’s best local grown produce, you can also enjoy some great entertainment. Gates open at 8am until 12 noon, and are held at the showgrounds. Head down and take a look.

May 26~28: NSW CHS Boys Hockey Championships
Come down and cheer on our boys in the hockey state championships held at the Cooke Hockey Complex in Bathurst. If you’re keen to get behind some of our local sport, gates open from 10am over the 3 days of fixtures.

We’ll be keeping you updated with things to do in and around the Bathurst region over the coming months, so keep checking back! If you’re on the lookout to buy, sell or rent property in the Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon, Cowra and Molong communities, come and have a chat with our friendly team here at Ray White Emms Mooney.
