Bathurst Region What’s On – February 2016

Saturday the 20th of February: Oberon Show 2016 (Oberon)    
Oberon’s annual Agricultural Show returns. Enjoy plenty of action and activity at the Oberon Showgrounds. A colourful showcase of country life with plenty of action and activity including dog championships, equestrian events, ute competition, stationary engines, fireworks, and a wonderful display of produce, flowers, and craft in the pavilion. Children can enjoy rides and sideshow alley as well as the animal nursery. Saturday’s program ends with spectacular fireworks.

Friday the 12th of February: Guy Sebastian ‘You.. Me … Us’ (Bathurst)
Having conquered charts and stages internationally, GUY SEBASTIAN is now set to embark on his “YOU…ME…US” major national regional tour in early 2016. Fresh off the back from sell out Arena tours, the International Eurovision stage and an acclaimed European tour GUY SEBASTIAN is set to bring his sound and style to Bathurst at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre. Tickets cost $86.50

Tuesday the 16th of February: The World’s Greatest Shave Information night (Bathurst)
Are you thinking about shaving, colouring or waxing your hair for the Leukaemia Foundation in March? Come down to the Bathurst RSL and find out all the information you need to know to have an awesome shave, find out how the money raised helps people with blood cancer, meet some of the team and ask any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you there.

Saturday the 13th of February: Highlands Steam and vintage Fair (Oberon)
If it’s heritage, then the Oberon Highlands Steam and Vintage Fair has it. The fair is held annually in Oberon, with event set up, and the tractor trek, and car and truck road runs (entrants only), on Friday. Saturday has a street parade at 10am, followed by all the action at the Fair Ground. Sunday starts with the early bird tractor trek and displays until noon. No entry fees on Sunday due to reduced activities and displays.
Featuring historic machinery, vintage and classic car displays, steam traction engines, steam portables and stationary engines, vintage trucks and lots of tractors. Tractor treks, fun tractor pull, car and truck rally, the flying pieman organ, market stalls, drum maker, timber working, military displays including Lithgow Living History Group.

Saturday the 20th of February: 2016 Ute Muster (Oberon)
Once again the Les Sullivan Memorial Ute Muster will be held during the Oberon Show. Up to $2,500 worth of prizes and 11 categories including – Feral, Best Ford, Best Holden, Best Chicks, Best Town, Oldest Ute, Best Themed, Best BNS, Best Tradies, Overall Champion. Costs include $5 per category for Ute and $25 Barrel Racing fee

Saturday the 20th of February: Lets Party for Palliative (Blayney)
Don’t miss a night full of sensational entertainment featuring live entertainment and dance performance and exceptional live auctions at the Blayney Shire Community Centre. Enjoy delectable canapés, main meal and dessert with wine, beer, spirits, Pimms, Aperol and Champagne. And don’t forget to Dance the night away to a live band GabeMusic.
